Matrox Video has integrated its Matrox Origin platform with Nvidia's Holoscan for Media, enabling developers to provision and deploy media services within a Kubernetes environment. The integration was showcased at IBC 2026 as part of the European Broadcasting Union's Dynamic Media Facility showcase.

The combination brings together the power of Kubernetes-native deployment capabilities with the Matrox Origin SDK, designed to simplify the development of software-defined live media applications. Daniel Robinson, product manager at Matrox Video, noted that developers should not have to solve the underlying complexities of live media processing every time they build a new application.

The implementation includes Matrox Origin media processing services such as color correction, media playback, audio shuffling, and Ograf graphics. These services connect to the wider DMF deployment using the Media eXchange Layer, with support for NMOS BCP-007-03 allowing MXL I/O services to register using IS-04 and receivers to be switched using IS-05.
