Nvidia and Palantir Unveil Joint AI Stack for Industrial Supply Chains
Nvidia and Palantir have launched a jointly developed AI stack aimed at optimizing industrial supply chains. The system combines Nvidia's open Nemotron models and cuOpt optimization software with Palantir Foundry, AIP, and the Palantir Ontology to coordinate materials allocation from wafer to first token.
The scope of this project is enormous: a single Vera Rubin rack contains 1.3 million parts sourced from thousands of suppliers, and Nvidia is deploying the stack against its own bill of materials. This gives the partnership a measurable KPI in the form of shipped racks, with potential payoff showing up directly in Nvidia's revenue line.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described his company's supply chain as 'challenged,' citing constraints extending through at least the end of fiscal year 2028. The joint announcement also highlighted Palantir's role as the application and control layer, with customization of Nemotron models on proprietary data and deployment either on-premises or in the cloud.
