Nvidia Attacks Power Bottleneck in AI Computing with Cloverleaf Investment
Nvidia's share price slipped approximately 0.5% to $215.74 on Friday morning, despite taking a minority stake in Cloverleaf Infrastructure.
Cloverleaf has developed more than seven gigawatts of powered data-center projects and holds a pipeline exceeding 10 gigawatts, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Nvidia is addressing the growing issue of power bottlenecks in AI computing by investing in infrastructure. Customers cannot deploy large numbers of accelerators without access to land, electricity, and grid connections.
The company's wider campaign aims to mobilize more than $500 billion for AI infrastructure, which could unlock additional data-center capacity and accelerate the deployment of accelerators.
