Nvidia Builds Aussie AI Factory Network with DSX and CUDA
Nvidia is making a significant move to expand its global AI empire by partnering with several Australian cloud providers to create a multibillion-watt AI network.
The network will feature DSX infrastructure, which combines hardware, networking, and software compatible with Nvidia's CUDA ecosystem. This will allow operators to treat compute capacity as an investable asset.
IREN plans to apply the DSX reference architecture across its development portfolio, including its 800-megawatt Bundey campus in South Australia. Sharon AI is planning to deploy up to 68,000 Nvidia GPUs on the network.
The network will support multiple generations of Nvidia's chipsets and provide a vertically integrated approach that gives IREN control over power, construction, and operations. This could help bring capacity online at scale.
