Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Wins Over Sega with His Character
Tokyo-based Sega Co., once known as Sega Enterprises Ltd., invested $5 million in Nvidia Corp. in the late 1990s due to the character of its CEO, Jensen Huang.
Shoichiro Irimajiri, former president of Sega, made this decision after being impressed by Huang's personality and leadership qualities.
The investment was part of a contract between Sega and Nvidia for the development of a graphics processing unit (GPU) for the Dreamcast game console.
However, the project ultimately failed, and Irimajiri informed Nvidia that they would be terminating the contract.
