Nvidia, Circle, and Palantir: Cathie Wood's Latest Trades
Cathie Wood's investment firm Ark Invest has made significant trades in several companies, including Nvidia and Circle. The firm purchased approximately $17.6 million of Nvidia stock, a move that aligns with reports of SpaceX's commitment to using Nvidia GPUs for its AI expansion.
This investment reflects Ark's confidence in Nvidia's growth prospects, despite the company's recent decline following weak second-quarter financial results. SpaceX's stock price fell 13.61% after its revenue dropped sequentially, raising concerns about its valuation.
However, Ark's purchase suggests that the firm believes in SpaceX's long-term potential, with a total investment of approximately $19.7 million. In contrast, Ark dumped Palantir stock despite its strong second-quarter results, which exceeded analyst expectations. The stock closed at $108.27 after turning lower following an early gain.
Ark also added shares of Circle to several of its ETFs, including ARKF, ARKK, and ARKW, with a total investment of approximately $17.3 million. Despite Circle's second-quarter results exceeding expectations, its stock saw a slight decline, closing at $63.28. The company's revenue fell sequentially, contributing to the stock's performance.
