Nvidia Ditches GDDR6 for HBM on Rubin Ultra
Nvidia has reportedly shifted its focus towards using high-bandwidth memory (HBM) in its Rubin Ultra graphics processing unit (GPU).
This change comes as a response to rising memory costs, which are impacting the company's pricing strategy.
The Rubin Ultra GPU was initially designed with GDDR6 memory, but Nvidia has decided to switch to HBM due to increasing costs of GDDR6.
