Nvidia Dominance Drives Growth Ahead of Earnings Report
Nvidia's (NASDAQ:NVDA) growth and dominance in the AI infrastructure market are driving its stock higher, according to an investor. The company's August 26 earnings report is expected to be another catalyst for buying.
The investor points out that the four largest hyperscaler companies - Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet, and Amazon - have collectively guided over $200 billion in AI infrastructure spend, with Nvidia holding over 80% market share in high-end AI accelerators. This has led to significant revenue growth for the company, with Q1 FY27 revenue reaching $81.615 billion, up 85.23% year over year.
Nvidia's balance sheet is also impressive, with a return on equity of 101.5%, net margin of 55.60%, and debt to equity ratio of 0.073. The company has also authorized an additional $80.0 billion buyback and raised its dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share.
The investor acknowledges that China is a risk for Nvidia, with the country's Data Center compute revenue excluded from the Q2 guide due to COVID-19-related restrictions. However, they believe that non-China demand will continue to drive growth and offset any losses in China.
