Nvidia Dominates AI Chip Market as Marvell Sees Consistent Growth
Marvell Technology and Nvidia have seen significant revenue growth in recent quarters due to their involvement in the artificial intelligence sector. Marvell, a data infrastructure semiconductor solutions provider, reported $1.9 billion in revenue for the quarter ended May 2, 2026, with a net income margin of 1%. Nvidia, on the other hand, generated $81.6 billion in revenue for the same period, with an EBIT margin of 66%.
Nvidia's revenue trend shows a significant acceleration in sales growth, indicating its dominance in the AI semiconductor chip market. The company's central role in the AI ecosystem is evident from the rapid adoption of its products by customers. For instance, Nvidia partnered with the Japanese government to launch a national infrastructure project dedicated to AI.
Marvell, while not as dominant, has seen consistent sales growth and is considered one of the 'picks and shovels' of the AI era. Its products are key components that are finding customer adoption, contributing to its revenue growth. The company's stock price surged in June to a 52-week high of $329.88 after it was added to the S&P 500 index.
