Nvidia Dominates Networking Market with Record-Breaking Earnings
Nvidia's networking business has reached new heights, with revenue growing 18% on a sequential basis in the second quarter ending July 26, 2026. This marks another record quarter for the company, which now claims to be the world's largest and fastest-growing network company.
The tech giant's earnings continue to impress, with gross margins of 75% and revenues totaling $96.2 billion, up 106% year over year (YoY). Nvidia's Spectrum-X Ethernet products are a major contributor to this growth, with sales increasing 2.6 times on a YoY basis.
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress attributed the success of Spectrum-X to its ability to deliver high-performance networking solutions that meet the growing demands of hyperscalers and AI workloads. She also noted that the company's revenue opportunity has grown significantly since the Hopper generation, with Vera Rubin expected to account for 20% of data center revenue in Q3.
Despite concerns about supply chain disruptions, Nvidia executives expressed confidence in their ability to manage inventory levels and meet customer demand. Colette Kress stated that the AI buildout driving memory scarcity is a symptom of the same demand surge that's driving Nvidia's growth.
