Nvidia Drops $3.5 Billion on MediaTek in Expanded AI Chip Pact
Nvidia has made a $3.5 billion investment in MediaTek through convertible bonds to expand their partnership across data center infrastructure, personal computers, and vehicles.
The investment will enable MediaTek customers to tailor connectivity, memory, packaging, performance, and power characteristics for their workloads using Nvidia's NVLink Fusion platform.
Nvidia introduced the NVLink Fusion in 2025 as a way for companies developing custom processors to use its networking technology and connect those chips with Nvidia CPUs and GPUs.
