Nvidia Earnings: Quiet Markets, Bullish Predictions
Nvidia's upcoming earnings report is expected to be a relatively quiet affair, with options markets pricing in a move of just ±5.73%, the smallest post-earnings swing in four years.
This calm is seen as an opportunity for traders, who have been overpaying for what promises to be a muted reaction to the numbers.
Despite Nvidia's history of earnings beats, the stock has sold off after the report in six of the last eight quarters, due in part to shrinking profit margins and high expectations.
Analysts at Jefferies and UBS are still bullish on the company, however, with Jefferies modeling a record $95B quarter and UBS predicting a rise in data-center revenue from ~$194B to $792B by 2028.
