Nvidia Earnings Soar, But Stock Price Tumbles Amid Elevated Expectations
Nvidia's latest earnings report exceeded expectations, but its stock price dipped towards $206 as investors questioned whether the results justified elevated expectations.
The company reported Q2 revenue of $96.2 billion, a 106% year-over-year increase and an 18% sequential rise from the previous quarter.
The Data Center segment remained the primary growth driver, generating $89.0 billion in revenue, up 18% sequentially and 117% year over year.
Nvidia raised its Q3 revenue forecast to $108 billion, plus or minus 2%, but GAAP gross margin is expected to decline to around 74%, compared with 75% in Q2.
