Nvidia Eyes $3 Billion Investment in SoftBank-Backed Data Center Project
Nvidia is in talks to invest up to $3 billion in SB Energy, a SoftBank Group subsidiary building a massive data center project for OpenAI in Ohio.
The proposed investment is part of Nvidia's discussions with OpenAI and SB Energy on providing around $100 billion in credit support for the planned Ohio campus.
Nvidia would invest half of the $3 billion when the Ohio project deal is signed, while the other half would be invested as part of SB Energy's planned initial public offering (IPO).
