Nvidia Faces DOJ Antitrust Probe Over $17 Billion Groq Deal
Nvidia has found itself at the center of an antitrust investigation by the US Department of Justice.
The probe concerns a $17 billion deal the company made last year for a non-exclusive license to Groq's chip technology, as well as the hiring of several of its executives.
Groq's founder Jonathan Ross was among those brought on board after Nvidia paid out the massive sum in December 2025.
The Justice Department has sent Nvidia a formal request for information and is examining whether the company structured the deal to avoid antitrust review.
