Nvidia Flips on DLSS 5 Support for Older Graphics Cards
Nvidia has reversed its stance on supporting DLSS 5 on older graphics cards. Initially, the company announced that DLSS 5 would only be available on GeForce RTX 5000 cards for the launch of NBA2K27.
However, by the time the game was released, Nvidia had changed course and stated that it will bring DLSS 5 to GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards with the Ada Lovelace architecture. This includes models from 2022 and 2023, as well as 2024 for Super models.
But there's a catch - this support won't arrive immediately. Nvidia is currently focusing on supporting GeForce RTX 50 series and improving DLSS 5 performance on these cards.
The company hasn't given an exact date or timeframe for when official support will be available for GeForce RTX 4000 owners, leaving many wondering if they'll ever get to enjoy the benefits of DLSS 5.
