Nvidia Forms Employee-Backed PAC to Influence AI Policy Discussions
Nvidia Corp., the leading producer of chips that drive AI systems and the highest-valued corporation globally at over $5 trillion, has formed a political action committee (PAC) to support federal campaigns. The newly created NVIDIA Corporation Employees Federal Political Action Committee will operate using money contributed voluntarily by qualifying staff members, who can give up to $5,000 each per year.
The development occurs as legislators and the White House consider rules for artificial intelligence, with growing public unease about the technology ahead of upcoming elections. In a message to donation-eligible workers, Nvidia emphasized that upcoming legislative decisions will profoundly affect both the AI sector and society, stating 'In recent years, our industry has become a significant focus for policymakers.'
The PAC registration coincides with heightened policy efforts across the AI sector. Disclosure reports show the company's federal lobbying expenditures surpassed $2.5 million in 2026, exceeding prior-year amounts.
