Nvidia Gets Boost from CoreWeave's New AI Infrastructure Push
CoreWeave, an AI infrastructure services provider, has launched Physical AI Field Engineering, a new hands-on service that sends its experts to work directly inside engineering and manufacturing clients' facilities. This includes companies in auto, aerospace, and robotics sectors. The goal is to help these companies build physical AI applications by aggregating data from tests, sensors, and live feeds.
This strategy could expand CoreWeave's addressable market into more manufacturing, robotics, and aerospace companies. It also increases the stickiness of its ecosystem while expanding its higher-margin professional services business.
Nvidia, the leading AI chipmaker, is a significant beneficiary of this expansion. As one of the largest investors in CoreWeave, Nvidia stands to gain from any strategy that expands CoreWeave's reach. Additionally, CoreWeave operates 51 data centers across North America and Europe, with over 250,000 high-end GPUs installed, making it one of Nvidia's largest customers.
This expansion could drive increased adoption of Omniverse, Nvidia's software platform for creating physics-based digital twins and simulation services. With its proprietary CUDA platform and other software, Nvidia locks in AI customers, making Omniverse a complementary strategy.
