Nvidia Invests Big in MediaTek for Dominant AI Hardware
Nvidia is investing $3.5 billion in Taiwanese semiconductor company MediaTek as part of an established partnership to develop AI computing platforms.
The investment aims to ensure that future AI development aligns with Nvidia's hardware and standards, according to Jensen Huang, Nvidia's founder and CEO.
Matekda will adopt Nvidia's NVLink Fusion platform and the newly announced NVHBM tech as part of this effort. This move is also seen as a step towards Nvidia's goal of dominating the AI landscape with its own hardware platform and standards.
