Nvidia Leadership Sued Over Alleged Copyright Infringement Through AI Scraping

Nvidia's leadership is facing a lawsuit from a shareholder who claims they made the company vulnerable to copyright and privacy lawsuits by using AI models that 'scraped' language, video, and voice sources without permission.

The complaint was filed on July 31 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by investor Jessica Berliner on behalf of Nvidia.

Berliner alleges that Nvidia's board and CEO Jensen Huang failed to use a 'clean' dataset for training their AI models, instead relying on scraped content from various sources.

The lawsuit claims that this practice has led to multiple copyright holders filing lawsuits against Nvidia, putting the company at risk of further legal action.
