Nvidia Leads Asian Markets Higher After Strong Q2 Results
Nvidia's strong quarterly results helped lift US stocks on Thursday, leading to moderate gains in most Asian markets on Friday.
The Kospi index in South Korea fell 1% to 6,841.50, while the Nikkei 225 in Tokyo climbed 0.8% to 66,682.88 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 0.3% to 25,648.40.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said AI has reached its inflection point, with 'its tokens are productive and profitable.'
Salesforce also jumped 22.6%, its best day in six years, after it said AI helped deliver one of its best quarters in history, while Best Buy sank 4.4% amid worries about high inflation.
