Nvidia Leads US Stock Market Rally Amid Inflation Concerns
The US stock market has been affected by two opposing forces on August 27, 2026. The technology sector is rallying due to Nvidia's excellent earnings report, with its revenue more than doubling year-over-year to $96.2 billion and a projected increase of approximately 70% for fiscal 2028.
Nvidia's data centre division earned close to $89 billion, indicating the strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This has led to a surge in Nvidia's stock price, with it rising over 6%, and other AI-related stocks such as Adobe, Broadcom, and Intel also seeing gains.
However, despite this rally, investors are showing some hesitance due to concerns over inflation, Fed policy, and geopolitics. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been held back by weakness in healthcare and communication sector stocks, while the Nasdaq Composite Index is outperforming with a 0.87% increase.
