Nvidia Negotiates Anchor Investment in Anthropic's $100 Billion IPO Bid
Nvidia is in talks to invest up to $10 billion as an anchor investor in Anthropic's potential record-breaking IPO, which could raise around $100 billion and value the company at approximately $2 trillion. The plans are still under discussion, with both the amount and timeline subject to change.
Anthropic has already raised over $130 billion through multiple rounds of financing, including a recent round that valued the company at about $965 billion. The company's revenue run rate exceeded $65 billion by the end of July, with an estimated $9 billion by the end of 2025, and is forecast to reach around $190-$200 billion in 2028.
Nvidia's investment would not only provide a boost to Anthropic's valuation but also give the chipmaker a significant stake in the company. Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, has stated that private equity opportunities may be ending, but this move would rewrite the 'last private equity' into the 'first public order.'
