Nvidia Partner Hon Hai Sees 52% Surge in August Sales
Hon Hai Precision Industry, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer and Nvidia's server assembly partner, reported a significant jump in August sales due to strong demand for AI servers. The company's revenue reached NT$921.8 billion ($29.1 billion) in August, marking a 52% increase from the same period last year.
This growth is consistent with July's 54% surge and puts Hon Hai on track to exceed current expectations for the September quarter. Analysts predict that revenue will rise about 37% during this period.
The company's position as a key partner in AI server manufacturing has enabled it to capitalize on the growing investment in data centers and computing infrastructure. However, its large consumer electronics operation remains a counterweight to the faster-growing server business, limiting the impact of rapid cloud-related growth on overall profitability.
Despite concerns over data-center overcapacity, rising debt, and intensifying competition, Hon Hai's August sales suggest that demand for AI servers remains robust. The company's shares have benefited from growing investor exposure to the AI infrastructure buildout this year.
