Nvidia Partner Lands Record-Breaking Loan from Asian Banks
GMI Cloud, an Nvidia Corp. partner, secured commitments for more than double the amount it was seeking in a loan backed by advanced chips' computing power sales.
The US-based data center operator sought NT$13.9 billion ($947 million), but around a dozen banks offered to lend about NT$30 billion.
This demand underscores strong interest for one of the first such deals in Asia, which is part of a bigger financing deal backed by customer contracts to purchase computing resources.
