Nvidia Pledges $105 Billion for OpenAI's Massive Data Center Complex
Nvidia Corp., the world's most valuable company, is lending its support to OpenAI's massive new data center campus in Ohio. The chipmaker has agreed to spend up to $105 billion to help the ChatGPT maker secure computing capacity from the Pike County complex.
The first 800 megawatts of computing power are expected to come online by 2028, with a total of up to 8 gigawatts available. A single gigawatt is enough to power as many as 750,000 US homes at any given time.
