Nvidia Poised to Become First Company to Reach $1 Trillion in Revenue
Nvidia has once again stunned investors by exceeding Wall Street estimates in its second-quarter earnings report. The chipmaker's market capitalization is now approaching $5.5 trillion, making it the largest company in the world.
The real showstopper was Nvidia's guidance for the next fiscal year, which has left analysts astounded. If this pace continues, Nvidia could become the first business to generate $1 trillion in annual revenue.
Nvidia has already achieved remarkable growth, with its revenue growing 106% last quarter to $106 billion. Its current financial performance over the last 12 months totals $303 billion in revenue. With a projected 70% revenue growth next fiscal year due to insatiable demand for artificial intelligence (AI) computer chip systems and Nvidia's ability to raise prices, it's likely that Nvidia will generate between $700 billion to $800 billion in revenue next year.
If this growth continues, Nvidia will only need around 40% revenue growth in fiscal year 2029 to eclipse $1 trillion in sales. This seems highly achievable given the current pace of AI infrastructure investments. However, Amazon is already at $775 billion in revenue and could potentially reach $1 trillion first with two years of 15% revenue growth.
