Nvidia Powers Next-Gen Space-Based AI with SpaceXAI Partnership
Nvidia has secured a major partnership with SpaceXAI to power next-generation AI systems in orbit. The deal involves using Nvidia's Vera CPUs as the AI company expands its computing infrastructure for agentic applications.
SpaceXAI, which is operating within SpaceX, plans to build additional capacity around Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform, supporting its Grok chatbot. The companies will also adapt the Vera Rubin NVL72 system for orbital computing through SpaceXAI's first-generation Starmind satellite.
The partnership focuses on workloads where AI agents need to coordinate software tools, execute code, analyze information, and run simulations between model interactions. Vera CPUs are designed to handle these orchestration tasks alongside accelerated AI computing.
