Nvidia Puts $3.5bn into MediaTek as Part of AI Industry Play
Nvidia has made a significant investment in Taiwanese chip designer MediaTek, committing to buy $3.5 billion of the company's convertible bonds.
The deal also includes an agreement for Nvidia and MediaTek to use each other's products, expanding their respective supply chains.
This partnership is part of Nvidia's broader efforts to secure its position in the AI industry, having made $267 billion in commitments to suppliers and partners to ensure continuity of service.
