Nvidia Regains Top Spot in Market Capitalization from Apple
Nvidia, the leader in artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors, has regained its position as the world's No. 1 company by market capitalization after a four-day period during which it lost this status to Apple.
The regain occurred on August 31st when Nvidia shares closed at $200.75, marking a 2.93% increase in value from the previous day's closing price, according to the U.S. stock market.
Nvidia's market capitalization as of the closing price was $4.86 trillion, surpassing Apple's market cap of around $4.54 trillion after Apple's shares plummeted 7.35% to close at $308.91.
