Nvidia Returns Record $26 Billion to Shareholders Amid AI-Driven Growth
Nvidia's latest financial report shows the company is still growing rapidly due to demand for its artificial intelligence (AI) hardware and software. The company reported non-GAAP earnings per share of $2.22 on revenue of $96.22 billion in fiscal Q2, exceeding analyst estimates.
What's more impressive, however, is that Nvidia returned a staggering $26 billion to shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks in the same quarter. This includes $6 billion in distributed dividends and $20 billion in buybacks, with the latter marking its largest ever payout.
The company's dividend yield is still relatively low at around 0.4%, but Nvidia's dramatic payout increase earlier this year suggests that it is interested in making dividends a meaningful component of stock ownership. The potential for long-term growth and increased returns on investment could make Nvidia an attractive option for investors looking to diversify their portfolios.
