Nvidia Reveals How Startups Can Join Its Ecosystem and Build Lasting Corporate VC Partnerships
Nvidia's corporate venture capital partnerships are highly sought after by startups, but getting noticed requires more than just a good product.
Sydney Sykes, who leads global venture alliances and partnerships at Nvidia, explained how founders can enter the company's ecosystem through programs like Nvidia Inception and why strategic fit is crucial in building lasting partnerships.
Citing her experience as an investor at NEA and Lightspeed Venture Partners, and as a cofounder of Black VC, Sykes emphasized that corporate venture capital investment differs from traditional venture capital in its approaches to fundraising, due diligence, and deal terms.
She advised founders to focus on strategic relevance and infrastructure needs, particularly in the AI boom where energy and data-center requirements are increasing. Sykes also highlighted the importance of building relationships with corporate investors like Nvidia to advance technological solutions.
