Nvidia, Salesforce Report Big Profits, Tech Stocks Lead Wall Street Higher
Tech stocks led Wall Street higher on Thursday after Nvidia and Salesforce reported bigger-than-expected profits for the spring quarter.
Nvidia rose 6% as it delivered stronger profit and revenue than analysts expected, also forecasting future revenue growth that topped estimates. CEO Jensen Huang said AI has 'reached its inflection point' and is doing 'useful work.' This helped calm some of the worries around AI stocks that have been under pressure lately.
Salesforce jumped 14% after it reported stronger profit than analysts expected, with CEO Marc Benioff saying it's seeing 'incredible demand for our AI and data products.'
