Nvidia Secures Major Publisher Support for ARM-Based Gaming PCs
Nvidia's RTX Spark laptops are making waves in the gaming world as they aim to prove themselves as more than just AI-powered PCs. At Gamescom, Nvidia announced that several major publishers have joined forces with them to support their powerful ARM-based PCs.
The list of participating publishers includes Ubisoft, Sega, and EA, among others. These companies have promised to release native builds of their games on RTX Spark laptops, including titles like Assassin's Creed and Apex Legends. This is a significant development for gamers as it means they will be able to play a wide range of popular games on ARM-based PCs.
Nvidia's efforts are focused on future-proofing the next generation of ARM-based PCs, which are expected to hit the market this fall. While many Steam titles will still require emulation to run, Nvidia has successfully implemented major anti-cheat systems like EA's Javelin and Easy Anti-Cheat. This should provide a seamless gaming experience for users.
Nvidia's push into ARM-based PCs is seen as an attempt to create a MacBook Pro alternative with high-end efficiency and integrated graphics processing unit (iGPU) potential, without the need for a power-hungry discrete GPU. The company has also released its DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction model, which aims to improve lighting in games.
