NVIDIA Sees Increased Institutional Investor Interest Amid Stock Repurchase Plan
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) is experiencing significant investment activity from various hedge funds and other institutional investors. Marathon Capital Management has increased its stake in NVIDIA by 91.5% during the second quarter, with a total holding of 11,415 shares valued at $2,284,000.
Other notable investors have also modified their positions in NVDA. Longview Financial Advisors Inc. purchased a new stake in the company's stock during the first quarter, while Phillip James Consulting Co. acquired a new position in NVIDIA during the same period. Additionally, Inspire Investing LLC has bought into NVIDIA shares.
According to recent SEC filings, 65.27% of NVDA's outstanding shares are held by institutional investors and hedge funds. The company's board of directors has also approved a $80 billion stock repurchase plan, which authorizes the purchase of up to 1.5% of NVIDIA's total shares.
In related news, several top executives have sold significant amounts of NVDA stock over the past few months. Director Mark A. Stevens and EVP Timothy S. Teter both offloaded substantial quantities of shares in June and August, respectively. The transactions were made under pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plans.
