Nvidia's second-quarter earnings have sent its stock back towards an all-time high share price of $225. The chipmaker now boasts a market cap approaching $5.5 trillion, making it the largest company in the world.

The company has astonished investors with its guidance for the next fiscal year, which could put Nvidia on the doorstep of becoming the first business to generate $1 trillion in annual revenue.

Over the last 12 months, Nvidia has generated $303 billion in revenue. Last quarter saw revenue grow by 106% to $106 billion. If this growth continues for the next two quarters of this fiscal year (ending January 2027), Nvidia could knock on the door of generating over $400 billion in sales.

Nvidia is already projecting 70% revenue growth next fiscal year due to insatiable demand from cloud providers for artificial intelligence computer chip systems, neoclouds like Space Exploration Technologies, and price increases. This would put its revenue at $700 billion to $800 billion.
