Nvidia Stays On Pace to Meet $1 Trillion Sales Target Through 2027
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang predicted that the company would collect $1 trillion in chip sales through 2027, citing strong demand visibility for its AI chips. The forecast is based on a path to at least $1 trillion in cumulative Blackwell and Rubin chip sales from 2025 through 2027.
However, recent results indicate that Nvidia is very much on pace to hit this target, with data center revenue growing 92% year-over-year to $75 billion in the fiscal first quarter of 2027. Wall Street's consensus estimate currently forecasts total revenue of $394 billion this year and $561 billion next year.
The company's growth path is largely driven by its data center segment, which made up roughly 90% of Nvidia's total revenue over the past year. Management has stuck with the forecast, but noted that supply constraints and rising in-house chip production from big cloud customers could slow shipments and weaken growth.
