Nvidia Stock Faces Key Test as Partnerships and Investments Reach New Heights
Nvidia's stock price has rebounded significantly in recent times, climbing by 5% last week to reach above $226. However, this upward trend is expected to be put to a critical test as the company faces resistance at the $236 mark, its May high.
The stock's rise can be attributed to several major partnerships and growing capital commitments that have created both opportunities and risks for Nvidia. One such significant development is the expanded collaboration between Nvidia and Amazon Web Services (AWS), which aims to deploy 2 million Nvidia GPUs across AWS infrastructure by 2028.
In addition, Nvidia has also strengthened its partnership with Equinix through the launch of the Equinix Inference Exchange, designed to facilitate the movement of AI models into production for enterprises. Furthermore, the company is set to invest $2.5-3 billion in Thinking Machines Lab, a startup co-founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati.
The funding round values the startup at over $40 billion, despite its relatively low annualized revenue of just over $100 million. This significant investment highlights Nvidia's confidence in the potential of Thinking Machines Lab and the broader AI market.
