Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock surged to new heights last week, adding an astonishing $562 billion to its market capitalization. This marks the company's largest weekly increase ever and surpasses the total market value of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC).
The significant gain is a testament to Nvidia's strong performance in the tech industry. Despite a slight decrease in the number of firms covering the stock, analysts continue to offer predominantly positive recommendations.
The company's projected earnings for fiscal 2027 stand at $9.00 per share, giving a price-to-earnings ratio of 24.9. For fiscal 2028, the forecast is $12.78 per share, which would bring the multiple down to 17.5.
Nvidia's revenue for the first quarter totaled $81.6 billion, an 85% increase from the same period last year. Data-center revenue jumped 92% to $75.2 billion. The company expects second-quarter revenue to reach $91.0 billion, with a variance of 2% either way.
