Nvidia Stock Soars as Firms Raise Price Targets Amid Growing Demand
Nvidia's stock price saw its largest jump in over a year after several major investment firms raised their price targets for the company. This came on the heels of Nvidia's second-quarter earnings report, which beat expectations and sparked renewed optimism about the firm's future prospects.
One of the most significant boosts to Nvidia's stock price came from Raymond James, which increased its price target to $515 from $352, implying a market value of roughly $12.4 trillion if it reaches that level. The analyst noted that supply remains the primary constraint on Nvidia's growth and suggested the company could eventually generate as much as $1 trillion in annual revenue.
Other firms, including Truart, JPMorgan, and Evercore ISI, also raised their price targets for Nvidia, with some predicting the company could experience 100% sales growth next year despite supply constraints. Analysts pointed to the growing demand for Nvidia's products, particularly from AI Clouds, Industrial, and Enterprise customers.
However, not all analysts were as bullish on Nvidia's prospects. Some warned that broader macro catalysts could make markets volatile in the near term, potentially limiting Nvidia's growth despite its strong fundamentals.
