Nvidia Supply Commitments Surpass $279 Billion Amid Record-Breaking Quarter
Nvidia reported another record-breaking quarter on Wednesday, with revenue more than doubling year over year to $96.2 billion.
Data center revenue rose an impressive 117% to $89.0 billion, while shares moved higher in after-hours trading following the report.
The most significant figure from the company's CFO commentary was its supply commitments, which have more than doubled to $279 billion.
This increase is primarily related to the procurement of memory, with about $267 billion of these commitments due by the end of fiscal 2029.
Nvidia has partnered with suppliers to lock down components for the next several years, effectively stockpiling one of the scarcest inputs in the artificial intelligence build-out before prices climb further.
