Nvidia Surges as Analysts Favor AMD and Intel
Nvidia (NVDA), AMD (AMD), and Intel (INTC) are three of the most popular AI stock picks, but their performance this year has been vastly different. While Nvidia is up 18%, AMD has surged 126% and Intel leads with a 162% gain.
Looking ahead to the next year, Wall Street analysts offer one-year price targets that help investors understand where they think the stocks will go. Combining all analysts' predictions reveals some interesting information: Nvidia's average target is $303, indicating a 38% upside, while AMD's target is $613 with a 27% gain, and Intel's is $115 with a 19% gain.
However, there are concerns about Intel's stock. Out of the 48 analysts who cover it, 32 indicate that it's a 'hold', suggesting many worries about its performance. Some analysts fear that too much success has already been baked into Intel's stock, while others point to AMD's high valuation.
Despite these views, I disagree with the analyst consensus and believe Nvidia is the best buy of the trio. With a reasonable valuation and no need for a turnaround, Nvidia stands out as a top-performing stock in the next few years.
