Nvidia Taps HPE Veteran Monica Gille for Global Partnerships Role
Nvidia has appointed Monica Gille, a 26-year veteran of HPE, as its new vice president of global partnerships. Gille will focus on leveraging the channel to boost adoption of Nvidia's enterprise AI and software products.
Gille departed HPE in July as vice president of sales for enterprise and global accounts. Channel partners are optimistic about her appointment, citing her experience at HPE and relationships within the channel.
C.R. Howdyshell, CEO of Advizex, praised Gille as a 'champion for the channel' who will help Nvidia accelerate momentum in the enterprise space. He noted that while adoption is slow, it is moving forward, driven by increasing activity and interest in AI solutions.
Nvidia has seen significant growth in recent years, becoming a world superpower due to its central role in the AI infrastructure boom. However, some channel partners have struggled with profit margins threatened by component shortages and high demand for AI hardware.
