NVIDIA Taps Sustainability Expert Savannah Goodman for Key Role
NVIDIA, a global leader in accelerated computing, has appointed Savannah Goodman as its new Global Lead of Energy & Infrastructure Sustainability. Goodman joins NVIDIA after six years at Google, where she held various roles including Head of Advanced Energy Labs and Senior Manager for Data and Software Climate Solutions.
Goodman's career spans over a decade, with previous stints at Tesla, Blueprint Power, and Kraft Foods. She has experience in sustainability, energy management, and product development, making her a strong fit for NVIDIA's sustainability strategy.
NVIDIA aims to maximize energy efficiency through accelerated computing, which helps mitigate the expanding carbon footprint of global AI and data centre workloads. The company targets a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 operational emissions by 2030 and matches 100% of its global facility electricity use with renewable energy.
As Global Lead of Energy & Infrastructure Sustainability, Goodman will focus on scaling AI infrastructure with clean energy, greater flexibility, and stronger partnerships with power grids and local communities.
