Nvidia Teams with Goldman Sachs on $500 Billion AI Infrastructure Financing Plan
Nvidia is taking on one of its biggest challenges in the AI boom by partnering with Goldman Sachs to mobilize over $500 billion for AI infrastructure. The initiative, announced August 10, brings together Nvidia and six major financial institutions, including Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, KKR, and Goldman Sachs. This partnership aims to transform GPUs and full-stack AI systems into an investable infrastructure asset class.
Goldman Sachs is discussing structures with a broad investor base, according to Reuters, and its asset-management business could provide junior capital and private credit. Nvidia could backstop as much as $125 billion, or 25%, of potential transactions. This strategy widens the pool of customers capable of funding enormous AI clusters just as Nvidia's underlying demand continues to explode.
Nvidia's first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue surged 85% to $81.6 billion, while Data Center revenue jumped 92% to $75.2 billion. The next major catalyst arrives on August 26, when Nvidia reports its fiscal second-quarter results. Investors should watch Data Center growth, forward demand, and commentary on financing structures.
