Nvidia Unveils Custom HBM Solution for Faster GPU Data Transfer
Nvidia is targeting the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) market with its custom NVHBM solution, expanding its NVLink Fusion architecture. The move aims to provide higher performance and lower latency for data transfer between GPUs.
The company's custom HBM solution will enable faster data transfer rates of up to 2.5 times the current speeds, according to Nvidia. This is achieved through the use of multiple interfaces that can work together seamlessly, reducing bottlenecks in data transfer.
Nvidia's NVLink Fusion architecture has already shown promise in providing high-speed interconnects between GPUs. With the introduction of custom HBM, Nvidia is looking to further increase performance and efficiency in its systems.
