Nvidia Ups AWS GPU Deployment by 2M Amid Hugging Face Acquisition Talks
Nvidia has expanded its partnership with Amazon to deploy an additional 2 million GPUs across AWS data centers in 2027 and 2028.
The deal follows a previous agreement between the two companies to deploy over 1 million GPUs, which was exceeded by demand.
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress said that the company will also send Vera CPUs to AWS as part of a broader integration extending to networking hardware and robotics platforms.
This expansion comes even as Amazon continues developing its own competing chips, including Trainium and Graviton processors, which have reached an annualized revenue run rate of $25 billion.
