Nvidia's August Earnings Report Could Spark Massive Stock Rally
Nvidia's stock has been underperforming this year, rising only 2% as the S&P 500 gains around 7%. However, analysts expect Nvidia to report strong growth in its second-quarter earnings on August 26.
The company is benefiting from the AI data center build-out, with nearly every AI-focused company using Nvidia's GPUs and other infrastructure. Demand for these products continues to increase, with AI hyperscalers raising their spending outlooks for 2026 and hinting at even higher spending in 2027.
Nvidia has a history of exceeding expectations, and its revenue growth rate is expected to reach 96% in the second quarter. If it meets or beats this estimate, its stock price could see a significant increase. In addition, investors will be looking for guidance on Q3 revenue growth, with estimates suggesting 81%. A projection in the 90% range would likely send the stock soaring.
