Nvidia's CUDA Software Ecosystem Leaves AMD Behind
Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) reported $96.2 billion in fiscal Q2 2027 revenue, up 106% year over year.
This surpasses Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s (AMD) $11.5 billion in Q2 2026 revenue, up 50%. The gap between the two companies' data center businesses is significant, with Nvidia's revenue roughly eight times larger and its profitability metrics a different category entirely.
CUDA, Nvidia's software ecosystem, has 18 years of development and approximately six million developers building on its libraries. This gives Nvidia pricing power that AMD does not have.
