Nvidia's GB300 Blackwell Ultra Hits Mass Production, Drives Record Data Center Revenue
Nvidia's latest AI accelerator, the GB300 Blackwell Ultra platform, has entered mass production and is shipping in volume to major cloud providers and data centers. The company reported record-breaking data center revenue of $89 billion for its fiscal second-quarter earnings, up 117% from a year earlier.
The GB300 Blackwell Ultra platform offers significant performance improvements over its predecessor, the Hopper (H100/H200) architecture. Each GB300 GPU carries 288GB of HBM3e memory across eight 12-Hi stacks, compared to 192GB on the original B200, with 8 TB/s of memory bandwidth.
Nvidia's data center segment grew 18% sequentially in the same quarter as GB300 shipments ramped, and a category Nvidia calls ACIE (AI cloud, enterprise and other) revenue grew 138% year over year. Hyperscale providers such as Microsoft, Oracle Cloud, and CoreWeave are among the first to deploy the GB300 NVL72 rack-scale systems.
